Dr. Lisa Lattuca

Lisa R. Lattuca is Professor of Higher Education and Integrative Systems and Design and Director of the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education at the University of Michigan. She uses systems and sociocultural perspectives to study how academic and disciplinary cultures shape faculty work and students’ learning experiences in undergraduate courses and programs. Her studies have examined faculty members’ interdisciplinary research and teaching experiences and students’ experiences of interdisciplinarity in engineering fields. Her work has been supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, and the Helmsley Foundation.
